San Francisco chef arrested after allegedly robbing 3 banks in a day

A San Francisco chef was arrested after robbing three banks within one day.

Valentino Luchin, 62, was arrested after allegedly robbing a bank on Grant Avenue at 12:02 p.m. on Sept. 10, according to a press release from the San Francisco Police Department. Officials found Luchin allegedly entered the bank and gave an employee a note asking for money. Employees provided cash and Luqin allegedly fled the scene.

According to the press release, investigators identified Luqin as the suspect and found him living in the central region. Police then arrested him. Officials did not disclose how much money Luqin allegedly stole.

According to the press release, two other robberies occurred on the same day as the first robbery. Police believe that Luqin had other robberies.

According to a press release, Luqin was booked in the San Francisco County Jail for two counts of robbery and attempted robbery.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Luchin previously worked as a chef at Rose Pistola in San Francisco and head chef at Ottavio in Walnut Creek. Ottavio closed in 2016.

Luchin allegedly robbed an Orinda bank in 2018 and was arrested. East Bay Times.
