Samsung’s new 9100 Pro Series Solid State Drives (SSDs) include the company’s first consumer-grade 8TB NVME SSD. The latest models use the fast PCIE 5.0 standard unless you Training AI models To make a living – almost certainly meet your PC needs.
The Samsung 9100 Pro series offers twice as much storage as its predecessor 990 Pro Series. It launches in 1TB, 2TB and 4TB models and will not arrive until later this year. Each layer has a ship in a model with or without a radiator (whether you need it or not, it depends on whether the motherboard includes a picture of the NVME drive).
The 9100 Pro SSD has sequential read speeds of up to 14,800 MB/s and a maximum continuous write speed of 13,400 MB/s, the company said. Their random read speeds are as fast as 2,200k IOPS (input and output per second), with random write speeds up to 2,600K IOPS. The 9100 Pro SSD is 49% more powerful than the 990 Pro series and has a smaller profile, up to 0.35 inches (about 8.9mm).

The first 9100 Pro SSD arrived in March: 1TB ($200), 2TB ($300) and 4TB ($550). Variables with radiator can add these prices to an additional $20. As for the 8TB tier, which Samsung has not announced yet, it won’t arrive until the second half of the year.
