Former Russian President says several countries are expected to provide nuclear warheads for Iran after the U.S. strike Three Iranian nuclear facilities.
“The abundance of nuclear material – now it can be said that future production of nuclear weapons will continue,” Dmitry Medvedev, now vice chairman of the Russian Security Council, said in an X Post on Sunday.
“Many countries are ready to provide Iran with their own nuclear warheads directly,” Medvedev said.
Medvedev did not list specific countries that might be involved in and support Iran. However, Russia has historically supported Iran’s nuclear program. Russian President Vladimir Putin It also proposed to mediate peace talks between Iran and Israel.
Moscow also proposed to intervene and help negotiate a nuclear deal between the United States and Iran.
Moscow participated in the 2015 Iran transaction, known as the Joint Integrated Action Plan. The deal lifted sanctions on Iran in exchange for restrictions on Iran’s nuclear program, but Trump withdrew from the deal in 2018.

Before the strike, Iran warned that the United States would suffer if it chose to participate in the conflict and launched a retaliation strike against the base where U.S. troops were placed after killing top U.S. generals in 2020.
