Secretary of State Marco Rubio compared to assassination Charlie Kirk For the White House’s “family death,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned that such political violence would only threaten democracy around the world at a joint press conference held on Monday.
Rubio and Netanyahu held a meeting to discuss joint remarks in Jerusalem after the ongoing war against Hamas in Gaza, when a reporter asked them about the consequences of Kirk’s assassination.
Rubio calls assassination “terror” and “shocking” against people in the White House, including the president Donald Trump Both Vice President JD Vance are close to Kirk.
“He was a personal friend of that White House lot of people,” Rubio said of Kirk. “The president is to the vice president, to multiple people. It’s a combination, you know, political assassination, but also death in family-type events.”

Kirk’s work has led him to debate with people on campus and online who have opposing views and ideologies. He was shot dead while attending a campus debate Utah Valley University Wednesday at the U.S. Tuning Points event.
Both Rubio and Netanyahu say that assassination marks a threat to democracy, working to “terrorize” and “silence”, not only in the United States, but also among those who disagree with the words of those who disagree.

“Once a society loses the ability to strongly disagree people participating in discourse, your only option left is silence or violence,” Rubio explain. “Neither is acceptable. Both are very destructive.”

Netanyahu Word asks about how democratic countries can address the members of society who do not believe in freedom of speech and resort to violence.

“How do you really deal with the threat of toxic incitement from people who don’t believe in freedom of speech, who believe that they impose their own views on others? Say democracy but actually want to trample democracy into the dust? How do you deal with it?” asked the Prime Minister.
Netanyahu then described democracy as “a non-violent resolution of conflict within society.”

“Nonviolent resolutions and decisions are not made by bullets, but by balance,” he said. “These people are becoming more and more violent.”
