A driver was driving on Highway 10 in downtown Los Angeles Thursday night when a large rock hit his windshield.
According to the California Highway Patrol, it is not clear whether the rocks were thrown from the overpass or fell off the overpass.
Video from Stringer Service OnScene.tv shows a stalled pickup truck on the shoulder of the highway with a wide open hole in the windshield. The car was discovered by the Los Angeles Fire Department on the westbound Los Angeles Fire Department at the intersection of Highway 110 near Adams Avenue.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the unidentified driver reported that something flew past his windshield and hit his chest. The extent of the driver’s injury is not known, but he was taken to the hospital by an ambulance shortly before midnight.
