Charles Town, West Virginia – Minister of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. He said this week he chose the first publicity “Maha” agenda in Martinsburg, West Virginia, and he said his iconic political family has a unique history in the mountains.
Kennedy recalls former Democratic Governor Al Smith – who, in his honor, held the famous annual Catholic Archbishop affiliated dinner in New York City – who by chance forced the country to have anti-Catholic bias.
Although Kennedy was a popular governor in New York, before Albany’s Franklin Roosevelt, Kennedy noted that Smith’s businesses entering the presidential arena led to political conflicts and “reviving Ku Klux Klan” in part of the southern region.
Kennedy said Smith lost to Republican President Herbert Hoover “disastrous” because Smith won only Massachusetts, Rhode Island, five deep land islands and campaign partner Senator Joseph Robinson’s Arkansas.

““The experts all feel that the United States will never elect a Catholic president,” Kennedy said.
So when John F. Kennedy ran for president in 1960, his nephew recalled that Massachusetts Democrats knew he had to win West Virginia — a state’s Catholics were 2% Catholic at the time, and most of the anti-Smith votes in the region during the 1928 cycle.
“It was crucial to my uncle’s campaign, and he won the country to show that Catholics can win the presidency,” he said. Kennedy says.
“He fell in West Virginia and his goal was to hold the hand of everyone in West Virginia. I think he was very close.”
“Then my parents came down; my uncle, my aunt-luckily, we had a lot of Kennedys”- he interrupted to laughter- “They spent a lot of time learning about the people in West Virginia and getting to know the state and the problem, and the things that were with them throughout his presidential and presidential day.”
Kennedy eventually defeated Republican Richard Nixon in the mountains, which was considered a major frustration.
“He always thought that if he hadn’t won the country, he wouldn’t have been president—he never forgot the relationship; his bond to the people of this country.”
Kennedy said that before becoming HHS secretary, most of his anti-pollution work brought him to West Virginia, especially the coal state in the southern state.
Now, he said, his new role allows him to continue to fight another type of pollution and “give people a chance to live healthier lives.”
During the event, he and Gov. Patrick Morrisey A national policy banning food dyes and certain preservatives was issued at school lunches and sunsets across the state in 2028.
Morrisey also signed a document asking for waiver from Kennedy’s Office to ban the use of snap food stamps for purchase of soda and to make job requirements to qualify.

“Today, we are here to focus on making West Virginia healthy,” Morrissey told reporters after Kennedy’s speech.
He went on to announce the “order” to implement the “Climber Mile” and officially started the Maha (Make America Healthy Again) exercise in West Virginia that afternoon.
West Virginia has the first obesity rate, and the area near Columbia is considered the 51st, so it is the healthiest of the indicator. Morrisey says he Kennedy wanted to change that.
“We are cleaning up food, promoting exercise and putting ‘nutrition’ back on it,” the governor said.
He also developed the Climber Mile Initiative – urging every climber to walk at least one mile a day.
