Rep Darrell Issa nominates Trump for Nobel Peace Prize

Rep. Darrell Issa of R-Calif announced his nomination for president in an article on X on Monday Donald Trump Winner of the Nobel Peace Prize.

Isa declared in a tweet: “Today, I will nominate @realdonaldtrump for the Nobel Peace Prize. No one deserves more.”

Fox News Digital contacted Issa’s office on Tuesday to ask members of Congress to comment on why he decided to nominate the award.

“Since Ronald Reagan has the basic case of the U.S. president through power or a world without war, it will not be better represented by the nation’s peace determination,” Isa said in a statement to Fox News Digital Digitalization.

“It is worth noting that it is the 2024 election of Donald Trump (more than a dozen weeks after his sworn in) that has clearly initiated the cause of peace in many parts of the world, and we have seen the benefits. I hope the Commission has noticed these extraordinary times and recognizes that President Trump, ideally, represents the Nobel Peace Prize, should represent the Nobel Peace Prize.”

President Barack Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009, and he served less than a year later.

Rep. Claudia Tenney, RN.Y. Trump was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize last year.

According to a January 2024 press release, “Donald Trump has played a role in promoting the first new peace agreement in the Middle East in nearly 30 years.”

Later in 2024, Turny nominates Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahuand former Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant won the award.

According to a December 2024 press release, she asserted that their “heroic efforts to combat terrorism and protest against the Islamic regime have directly led to greater regional and global stability”.
