Reese Witherspoon The director learned valuable lessons when he refused to enter her into the movie.
In recent appearances in Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers “Ras Culture” The podcast, the 49-year-old “Legal Blonde” star shared that director David Fincher refused to record her in the 2014 film despite choosing the right to play the best-selling novel Gote Girl.
She explained: “David disappointed me – it’s not David – it’s David, like ‘This part you’re totally wrong, I’m not going to put you in it.’
Despite the full support of the book’s author, Gillian Flynn kept saying, “I really like you,” she said, and the director wouldn’t change his mind and tell her, “You’re wrong.”

Eventually, Fincher continues to play the lead role of Rosamund Pike Ben AffleckCarrie Coon, Tyler Perry and Neil Patrick Harris. While Witherspoon said it was a difficult pill to swallow, she admitted the director had a little bit.
“First of all, it’s my self-check,” she said. “It’s like, ‘No, you Not suitable for everything. He is right. He is completely right. ”
Witherspoon said Fincher didn’t give her any reason, but she thought it might be because she would “take me to take me to the audience I like, adding that she didn’t know “sincere or harmful.”

“Production also means getting out of the way you should,” she shared. “Try to promote, continue to unite people, continue to build creative groups so that the end result is probably the best job. It’s a lesson for me.”

Despite the fact that “Girls Go” and her next film “Wild” received three Oscar nominations, Witherspoon said it took her a while to be “seriously becoming a producer.”
“It took me until ‘Big Little Lies’,” she said. “So ‘Big Little Lies’ is like a year later, Nicole [Kidman] I co-produced this until people started taking me seriously as a producer because honestly, even producers, even those hits, couldn’t get those three Oscar nominations. Yes, it’s really hard. ”
