reddit Several new tools have been announced, and it seems they are intended to encourage more lurkers to participate in the discussions on the site. One of a new tool called rule checking will allow you to easily see if the content you post may violate SubredDit’s rules. Before submitting your post, you can click on the wand icon in the lower right corner of the Post Composer, which you can see in the photo above. Doing so will highlight anything in your post that might break the SubReDdit rules. Reddit will start testing the feature on iOS and Android before giving a wider version.
If a post is deleted due to community rules, another new tool called Post Recovery will show you a prompt. The prompt will include a deletion notification, as well as a link that will enable you to quickly share deleted posts to a more appropriate subreddit. To make sure you publish in the right community first, Reddit will now propose relevant communities based on what you wrote through the drop-down menu in the upper left corner of the composer’s screen. Now it will also show you if the community has requirements, such as account age or minimum karma points before posting.
If you promote products and services on Reddit, then the last tool is probably the most useful. Post insights will show you how many opinions, votes, shares and intersections your posts get, giving you an idea of how effective it is when posting engagement. Now, all of these tools are now available on Reddit’s website and mobile apps, besides the rule checking.
