Reddit announced Thursday that it will introduce a range of new tools to make it easier for users to engage on its platform. These features are designed to help users find a community, ensure that their posts do not violate any rules, and understand how to contribute across the social network.
Combined, these features are designed to enhance the Redditor publishing experience by making it easier to contribute posts, especially for new users who may not understand how Reddit works or where it is published.
First, the company said it will start helping users find the right community through “community advice.”
If the user creates a post and is unsure of which community to post it, the Select Community drop-down will now provide relevant subreddit suggestions based on the content of the post. Reddit believes this will make it easier for users to connect with the right audience when creating new posts.

Another new “Post Check” feature will help users determine if their posts may break any subreddit rules so they can be updated before posting. The idea behind this feature is to help users who otherwise might accidentally violate the rules and delete their posts.
Users can access the tool by clicking the wand icon in the lower right corner of the Postal Composer. After that, the tool will highlight all content that may violate the rules.

Reddit is also launching a tool that will allow users to republish content for deleted content. When a user’s post is deleted due to community rules, they will see a new prompt under that post which will help them repost the content to the suggested alternative subreddit.
Additionally, when users choose a community to publish but do not meet the criteria of that community, Reddit will now advise on how they contribute to that community. For example, Reddit may inform you that you are unable to contribute to the community because you do not meet the minimum standards of karma (online reputation score), and you need to earn more income by posting or posting a comment on Reddit.

Additionally, Reddit improves its Post Insights feature, allowing users to view how their posts perform. Now you can see dates related to your views, votes, share, and more.
With this information, Reddit users will be able to understand what performance is to help refine their future posts.
The company said all new features should start with today’s mobile devices and desktops and be available to users around the world.
