slope,Quora’s platform brings together many AI models under a roof, launching a new feature that allows users to build visual interfaces (essentially) on top of any combination of models.
Called POE ApplicationThis feature allows POE users to describe the applications they want to create in the new app creator tool. Descriptions may include references to the specific model they want the application to use – for example, OpenAi’s O3Mini Or Google’s video generation VEO 2 – Or broader specifications.
App Creator, powered by humans recently released Claude 3.7 sonnetcode that translates descriptions into application program interfaces along with custom logic expressed in JavaScript. The POE application can run side by side with POE’s chatbot window, or it can be completely visual, and its underlying code is exposed to manual tuning and fine-tuning.
Quora has created some sample applications, including an app that converts photos to 3D anime-style art GPT-4O and Black Forest Laboratory‘Flux-Pro-1.1. Another example application removes unwanted objects from the image, leveraging Bria’s Bria Eraser model.
The POE app can be shared with other POE users, only now on the network (ios and Android support is on the way, Quora says). Every time the application uses the AI model, it is taken from the user’s point balance with POE. Free users receive daily allocations, while users subscribe to the POE $5 per month premium level for flexible or monthly point suites.
In the blog postQuora notes that App Creator can be offered at reduced early access prices for a limited time, suggesting possible app monetization options.
“This is an early release and we have a long roadmap that provides creators with more power, including the ability to make money directly from the app,” the company wrote. “We’re so glad to see you guys All created what.
