I’ll admit it Once upon a time, I was not the biggest supporter of the swollen cloud. I tested this memory foam mattress several times during my five-year mattress testing career and thought it wasn’t for me at all – soft, insufficient spinal support. Well, times have changed, aren’t it? Of course, in previous tests, I didn’t spend a full week sleeping in my own bedroom like this time. I think I am now Side sleeperin addition to the sleep location I chose earlier, it has another set of requirements.
Fast forward, I was at the emergency vet and out with two sick dogs. I’m going to fall on the bed. But, of course, the evening is a night to test your new mattress – you really don’t know how you sleep when you adapt.
I shouldn’t worry. I was eliminated all week and by the end I found that I was actually looking forward to receiving a “hug” from the fluffy cloud. Many fluffy material names involve clouds. I like a topic, but I will break down what these terms actually mean when we go. The total layer of this bed is, although it is only 10 inches tall when fully expanded out of the box.
First is the cool touch cloud cover, equipped with embossed clouds scattered across the surface. The knitted material is designed to cool the touch and help prevent the bed from capturing heat, a common complaint for memory foam. The cover is not the cooling superstar I’ve seen with other mattresses I’ve tested (e.g. Wolf Luxury Company Memory Foam Mix). I can’t say I absolutely felt baked during the test.
Next is a climatic fiber layer, which I found is undetectable. The purpose is to help regulate the temperature, but also adds some subtle softness. The first layer of cooling cloud foam is only 2 inches thick, and it uses gel infusion to further control the temperature and pressure. Cloud Comfort Pressure Relieving Foam supplements it below, as indicated by the name. Then you already have the thickest layer, a 6-inch company core support foam that prevents the overall mattress. also Much like a cloud. After all, we want some support. The last layer is the “grip” material on the bottom cover so the bed doesn’t slide on the frame. I found it actually works very well, and it’s another area of humility in the way I’ve previously opposed.

My experience with other full foam and memory foam mattresses provides me with a baseline for measuring fluffy clouds. The density of memory foam is designed to prevent mattresses from being transferred when the sleeper moves. It also adapts to the sleeper body shape to help relieve stress. But doing so can capture heat. Memory foam is not the strongest when it comes to edge support, especially compared to mattresses that reinforce coils. The swollen cloud is nice (although not great) and comes with edge support as long as I lay on the edge instead of sitting on the edge.
