Previously deported Guatemalan man convicted of crimes in US arrested in New York

According to ICE, Gregorio Ortiz was first arrested by a U.S. Border Patrol agent on December 10, 2012 for illegal entry into the United States. The next day, he was expedited by processing and was sent back to Guatemala on January 10, 2023.

He illegally re-entered the U.S. on an unknown date, without inspections from immigration officials.

“Gregorio not only despises our country’s immigration laws, which is proven by his previous illegal rewards after his dismissal, but he also completely ignores it. According to ICE, Gregorio Ortiz was first arrested by the U.S. Border Patrol on December 10, 2012 for the purpose of illegal entry. It is not clear when he will return to the United States (Reuters, document)

During his return to the United States, Gregorio Ortiz was charged with third-degree assault and was convicted by Spring Valley Village Court on September 1, 2022.

He was later convicted by Rockland County Court to somehow harm the June 3, 2024 child and criminal prank.
