The Vatican announced Wednesday that Pope Francis has shown “slight” improvement over the past 24 hours, but is still in critical condition.
“In the past 24 hours, the clinical status of the Holy Father showed further improvement. Mild renal failure found in recent days has recovered. A chest CT scan performed last night showed a normal evolution of lung float pictures today’s blood chemistry and blood tests confirmed yesterday’s improvement,” the Vatican said in a statement.
“The Father continues to undergo high-flow oxygen therapy; even today, he has not had a respiratory crisis. Respiratory physiotherapy continues. Despite a slight improvement, the prognosis remains confidential. In the morning, the Father received the Eucharist. . Dedicated in the afternoon. Work activities,” the statement continued.
