Schools in Philadelphia will continue to allow trans athletes to compete in women’s sports, even as Pennsylvania announces that it will comply with President Donald Trump’s “Manless in Women’s Sports” Executive Order.

“The Philadelphia School District is committed to ensuring the safety, fairness and justice of all students, regardless of gender identity or gender expression, so that they can imagine and achieve any future they want. The district will continue to maintain its practice in support of its LGBTQ+ students’ Practice to support its LGBTQ+ students in accordance with Board Policy 252, targeting transgender and gender-inconsistent students,” the statement said.

The statement came the day after the Pennsylvania Interschool Athletic Association (PIAA) approved the revision of its policy. The new policy opposes principals identifying the “gender” of students when “question or uncertainty”, adding that, in accordance with Trump’s executive order, “schools must consult with their school lawyers to comply with the order.”
Philadelphia’s refusal to comply with Trump’s order is the first known instance of a violation of its own country’s transgender policy since Trump’s executive order came into effect.
In New York City, an education official opposed the state’s intention to violate Trump’s orders. However, cities and states appear to continue to allow trans athletes to compete.

As Pennsylvania tries to comply with Trump’s orders, other battlefield countries have also been divided on the issue in the face of Philadelphia’s resistance.
Wisconsin Interschool Athletic Association (WIAA) announced last week that it updated its policies to allow athletes to compete “at the time when women were born” Girls’ sports. Wisconsin previously dates back to the transgender movement in the women’s movement in 2013.

U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi warned the states to comply with federal anti-discrimination laws, requiring them to keep boys away from women’s movements or face legal action, Fox News Digital News Tuesday.
“The Justice Department will hold responsible states and state entities that violate federal laws,” Bondy wrote. “Indeed, we have started doing this.”
Bondi refers to the Justice Department’s lawsuit in early February to violate federal immigration laws.
“We are also prepared to prosecute state and state entities that violate federal anti-discrimination laws,” Bondy wrote.
