The service member also posted an upside-down American flag on his Facebook page, often considered a distress warning — as well as a photo of President Trump with the caption: “I can’t respect those who respect him.”

On Saturday, Air Force Matt Lohmeier’s deputy secretary checked Servicemember’s Facebook page. He pointed out that “repeat” violates oath to defend the Constitution and shows respect for the President as Commander-in-Chief.
Mr Lohmeier said that Facebook posts by Air Force members violated at least Article 134 of the Unified Military Justice Code, which involves maintaining good order and discipline and anything that could discredit the armed forces.
Mr Lohmeier wrote on X: “I have asked our senior military leaders to read the rights of members and put him and his entire command chain in the investigation. Zero tolerance for men and women of this behavior.
Rep. Jason Crow, a Colorado Democrat, served as an Army Ranger in Iraq and Afghanistan, criticizing the personal political beliefs of “hunt and prosecute” military personnel. He called the tactic “dangerous and non-American.”
“We must condemn political violence and allow peaceful speech that does not affect the chain of command,” the Representative wrote on X.
Pentagon Spokesman Sean Parnell said it was unacceptable for military personnel to laugh at or celebrate the assassination.
“Zero tolerance means zero tolerance,” he said on X.
