New England Patriots Left tackle Will Campbell, the team’s first-round draft pick in April, made a bold draft declaration: He is willing to die for quarterback Drake Maye.
Campbell, 21, was asked if he still supports what he said, the former LSU stars double.
“I will, that’s my guy. That’s my guy. I don’t know what made me say this moment, but it’s great. It’s kind of like the emotion is flowing…I’m standing on it,” Campbell said during a look. “Playboy guy” With former Patriots stars Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman.

Unfortunately for Campbell, he wasn’t in the first week of the Patriots’ showdown with Las Vegas Raiders On Sunday.
Campbell was listed as a limited participant in the team’s practice Thursday and Friday due to an ankle injury. He was listed as suspicious in Sunday’s game.
The Patriots selected Campbell and selected the fourth pick NFL Draft Hopefully he can become a franchise star left tackle and Maye’s blind spot blocker for years to come.

Campbell has performed well in the pre-season, making fans hope he can meet expectations.
Although Campbell is questionable in Sunday’s game against the Raiders, full-time cornerback Christian Gonzalez was excluded from a hamstring injury.
The 23-year-old didn’t participate in the practice this week. Gonzalez is the Patriots’ best cornerback, entering his third season, a key part of the team’s defense.

Last season, Gonzalez played 16 games and was named second team. During his rookie season, Gonzalez was limited to four games after shedding her shoulders and suffering a cleft lip.
The Patriots are the home team that faces the Raiders, and the kick-off time is 1 p.m. ET.
