Adam tried to play a role on the ground, but immediately wrinkled the ground. Padres shortstop Jose Iglesias kicked the ball, but Henderson didn’t play when he reached first base.
As the play ended, Adam immediately waved to the canoe for help.
“I felt the pop music right away and it felt like the kind of quadrilateral rolled up, so I kind of knew that wasn’t great. It was painful at first, and then you kind of like, ‘Hey, did we take it out?’ And then, it was just waiting to hear how long.”
Adam said he “got to plant and grab the ball because that’s the chopper on my right, that’s when I felt the pop music and it emanated and I fell down.”
The 34-year-old rescuer was eventually helped get on the car and took him away to applaud.
Mercedes All-Star Rescuer Robert Suarez entered Adam’s position and hit the first batsman he faced, but allowed the run when Dylan Beavers singled to the right, scoring Jeremiah Jackson put the Orioles 4-3 lead.

Adam said the hardest part of his injury would miss the potential world race run.
“I think that’s the hardest part, recovery is the essence of it, you can be here every day, but just know this group here, the mental toughness, the skills they have, you just know that there’s everything in this club that can win World Series,” Adam said.
“You want to be a part of it, but I can still play small roles by showing up for boys every day, but that’s the hardest part.”
Adam said he still needs to get an MRI for confirmation: “But that sounds like six to nine months, so this season may have been done.”
Adam is spectacular to Padres this season. In 66 games, he posted 1.93 ERA and beat 70 batsmen in 65 1/3 innings. Padres’s bullpen era at 3.11 is the best in Major League Baseball, and Adam is a big part of success.
Padres manager Mike Shildt called Adam the “absolute main force.”

“We have a great clubhouse. We have great guys. I love him to death. Jason is as strong as he is. He is sharp and means a lot to us. We will miss him and we have to figure that out,” Hilder said.
