According to a criminal lawsuit by Fox News, the man allegedly caught fire at Gov. Josh Shapiro’s mansion.
Cody Balmer, 38, Harrisburg, The complaint said he allegedly admitted to her and “wanted her to call the police and hand him over to him, initially identified by former enthusiasts to police.” Just a short time later, Balmer turned around at the Penn State Police Department headquarters, police said.
In an interview with soldiers, “Balmer admitted to being Governor Shapiro. ” Balmer allegedly told investigators: “He took the gasoline out of the lawn mower and poured it into a Heineken bottle he found in his residence.”
Balmer allegedly said he walked an hour to the governor’s mansion, “to throw his homemade Molotov cocktail into the residence.”

Soldiers said Balmer admitted to zooming out the perimeter fence and broke two windows with a hammer. Throw the Molotov cocktail inside. The arson suspect allegedly admitted that he realized Shapiro and others were at home at the time, and that “it was possible that people were injured in their actions.”
If Balmer was alleged to face Shapiro, he said, “He would beat him with a hammer.” Balmer was taken to Dauphin County Jail for arraignment after the interview.

Police said the arson suspect was caught in and out of the mansion with security cameras, “wearing a black ” jacket, black boots and carrying a bag.” The soldiers said they found the jacket, the bag “and a small sled hammer” at Balmer’s home.
Shapiro exploded after Shapiro was considered a potential presidential contender for the Democratic Party in 2028, and his family celebrated the first night of the Jewish Passover holiday.

“This kind of violence has become too common in our society,” the politician said. “And if it comes from one particular party or the other, it is directed to a particular party, or another person or another person or another person. It’s bad, it has to stop. We have to be better than that.”
