“The Oxford Alliance wants to explicitly condemn the words and emotions of the reports expressed by President-elect George Abaraonye about the death of Charlie Kirk,” the Oxford Alliance wrote in a statement released Thursday. “His report views do not represent the views of the current leaders or committees of the Oxford Alliance. The current government, led by President Moosa Harraj, has nothing to do with Mr. Abaraonye’s administration and is completely independent.”
The statement also confirmed that the Oxford Union “resolutely opposes all forms of political violence”, “stand strongly in our commitment to free speech and considerate debate and expresses condolences to Kirk’s family.
