General Motors is recalling more than 90,000 Vehicles over a transmission control Valve issue that can cause tires to lock up, the national highway traffic safety administration said.
The problem affects cars with a 10-speed shipping, said to safety administration. With the passage of time, transmission delivery valves can be easily dressed in overwhelming, causing a valve pressure loss that can result in fierce transitions, it says.
“In rare cases, the wheels can experience a momentary lock,” the administration is said to a notice notice, which increases the risk of a crash.
The affected models are 2020-21 Cadillac CT4, 2020-21 Cadillac CT5, 2019-20 Cadillac CT6 and 2020-22 Chevrolet Camaro.
In the 90,081 vehicles are likely to be affected, 1% the defective estimate, NHTSA says.
In September, the driver of a 2021 Cadillac CT5 reports the tires ahead of the vehicle locked, the agency said.
GM used to look at the issue, it said. Since lock-ups usually last fewer than 150 milliseconds, the company has learned that after the relevant accidents or injuries, it is not enough time to lose, according to the investigation of salvation.
The evaluation was reopened in November, with a GM investigator found 115 reports of lock-ups, with someone leading an accident, NHTSA said.
The GM’s description description is decided to conduct a safe reminder of February 27, said by the Administration’s Affirmative.
The affected owners will indicate next month and get new transmission control software to find excessive safety valve and prevent safety lockings.
