Norwegian-based browser company Opera said today it is offering its AI assistant ARIA to Android Opera Mini users. This move will help users using low-end devices and data constraints access better AI capabilities.
ARIA AI can help users get the latest news and information on different topics, learn more about various topics, and generate images. Opera uses a combination of OpenAI and Google’s model to get relevant answers.
“AI quickly became an integral part of the daily internet experience – bringing ARIA to the Opera Mini is a natural addition to our easiest browser to load. With our built-in AI, ARIA, we are excited to further explore how further enhancements of AI can make our users rely on our users every day,” said Jørgen Arnesen, EVP Mobile in Opera Anemate, evp Arnesen evp Mobile.
The Opera Mini was launched in 2005 to help users save data while browsing. The company claims that even with the launch of a new AI assistant, it can help save data without increasing the size of the application.
