“People love MCP and we are excited to add support to our products,” he said.[It’s] Available and supported on the Agent SDK today [the] Chatgpt desktop application [and] Response API [is] coming soon! ”
MCP allows models to plot data from sources such as business tools and software to complete tasks, as well as content repositories and application development environments. This protocol enables developers to build bidirectional connections between data sources and AI-powered applications such as chatbots.
Developers can expose data through “MCP Server” and build “MCP clients” (e.g., applications and workflows) to connect to these servers on commands. In the months since the anthropomorphism was released, companies including Block, Apollo, Replit, Codeium and SourceGraph have added MCP support to their platforms.
“It’s great to see MCP Love spread to Openai – Welcome!” Humanitarian Chief Product Officer Mike Krieger at Post on X. “MCP has [become a] thriving open standards with thousands of integration and growth. LLM is most useful when connecting to the data you have already used and the software you have already used. ”
