Oklahoma Softball coach Patty Gasso defended the players last week after attending an event hosted by women’s sports advocate Riley Gaines.
Since Gaines Lia Thomas Thomas tied with her in the NCAA Championship. Thomas also became the first trans athlete to win the NCAA Women’s Swimming Championship. Since then, current and former female athletes have gathered together to separate biological males from female sports.

According to OU Daily, soon pitchers Audrey Lowry and Sam Landry attended Gaines’ speech at the U.S. turnaround event. These women are far from the only athletes in the event.
Gaso told every day She didn’t hear Gaines’ praise for her and her team, nor would she comment.
“But our team is there, whether they want to go or not, it’s their right,” she said. “I support them and whatever they choose.”

“She just wanted to make sure everyone had a fair chance, and it was obvious she cared,” she said. “It was easy to connect with it.”
Oklahoma rower Haley Bergstrom supports keeping biological males out. She points to the biological differences between men and women. “Biologically speaking, men have an advantage over women anyway,” she said. “So we just want to keep it that simple, but there is no problem with trans people.”
Gaines did take on pro-trans protests at school.
Librarian Cynthia Teague told Neld that I was upset by the kind of panic I’ve seen over the past few years – the suggestion is that trans people are dangerous, they are damaging society and it’s dangerous to have trans people involved in their daily lives,” librarian Cynthia Teague told Oklahoma.
“Especially in sports, there are very few trans athletes at any kind of elite level, and I think participating in sports is something that trans teenagers, especially should be able to do.”
