New York Republicans demanded the city’s transportation chief to be expelled, despite Gov. Kathy Hochul “Traffic congestion pricing” in Manhattan’s toll zone.
Press conference held Wednesday after shipping Secretary Sean Duffy Visited Dover, New Jersey to assess the mass sewage puddles that closed I-80. Republicans also called for an audit of the entire transport agency.
There, Duffy criticized Hochul failed to cancel congestion pricing and said New York officials need to better deal with subway crime.
“If you want people to take the train, take the transit, make it safe, make it clean, make it beautiful, make it beautiful, don’t make it an S-hole, that’s what she does.”
“We don’t have to fight for this,” Hawkel reportedly said in this regard.
New York lawmakers explode MTA after commenting on “disdain” crime
State Senator Steve Chan of R-BATH Beach announced a bill at the Albany meeting that would add two members to the state-owned MTA board: one represents the NYPD Transit Police and the other represents the Transit Police Union.
Chan, a retired New York Police Department sergeant and immigrant from Hong Kong, condemned a series of dangerous incidents on railroad tracks in and around him, including a nationwide reported case in which a passenger caught fire near Coney Island.
“If it takes two people two days to dig a hole, how long does it take for one person to dig a hole?” Chen asked the press.
“This question can be passed [MTA Chair] Janno Lieber, because that’s what he does every year: dig a hole. ” he said.
“The MTA’s motto seems to be, ‘The higher the cost, the motto we offer you.’ So around this time, the MTA has a tin cup every year, “we need more money,” and year after year, Albany Democrats bent their knees to a bad, misleading and swollen, boring transit system.”
Chan said that during his decades as a police officer, he has seen the best and worst on the subway, but today they tend to be the worst.
He said that only a few years ago, solo passengers could feel safe underground at 3 a.m., but today they are not.
“I know private companies that can run MTA better. I bet I can take a company and give them a bus route. They will make money right away.”
Chan lamented what he called “freedom responsibility” in the subway system, believing that the claim of reduced crime is the result of law enforcement and downgrade allegations.

Senator Bill Weber of R-Clarkstown said his voters north of the city had to pay the MTA what he called inefficient services and had to choose whether to have the courage to be brave enough to be indirect crossing options or traffic jams.
He suggested that the MTA blame NJTransit, which operates MTA trains that passed Garden State on their way to Spring Valley or Jervis Port, and he also called for Lieber’s removal.
“The two bills I proposed today…will bring more money back to Rockland’s pocket [County] Taxpayers and hope to move the MTA in the right direction. ” he said.
R-Mineola Senator Jack Martins added that he hopes the MTA will succeed, but has long been skeptical.
“Their success is our success. Their success is New York State’s success.” He said the agency’s $19.9 billion budget was no result for grants.

“[For] Every dollar comes out [of a New Yorker’s] The pocket to provide funding for the MTA, frankly, we get nothing. Now is the time to abolish congestion pricing. It’s time to conduct audits and real audits that are wasteful, fraud and abuse that are present in the MTA. ”
Senate Minority Leader Rob Ortt, R-Niagara Falls, concluded the meeting, saying the Republican caucus hopes the MTA succeed, and harsh criticism should not be misunderstood as hope for failure.
“[But] Every time we throw more money to them, we are part of the problem. If we want accountability, the easiest way is to say, “The nails are closed until you show us the billions you’re willing to change the billions you’ve earned, and then we can have a conversation about other things we can do economically.”
In a statement to Fox News Digital, top MTA officials rejected collective claims and criticized Martins in particular.
“LIRR is recording on time performance and Crime on the subway It has dropped by 24% since last year. “The MTA’s operating budget is balanced, so it’s incredible that some politicians obviously can’t read the budget,” said John McCarthy, head of policy at MTA.
“Mr. Martins’s record is a wrong record. He made improvements on LIRR against the third track expansion project [in Nassau County] – A project that only moves forward when Martins leaves the office. ”
“Now, Mr. Martins is back in office, the project is completed, and he is trying to believe there is no improvement – at the same time, it’s just happening because he’s not in the picture.”
MTA officials acknowledged that NJ Transit does serve Rockland and Orange counties and may be better at Weber criticism.
