The bill passed a partisan vote in the Republican-controlled state Senate last week and appears to be considered by the House of Representatives — a majority that lost its veto power in the last election.

Senator Tim Moffitt, the sponsor of the bill, went to Hendersonville, who was attacked by Helene, who had previously described it as a “housekeeping” measure and used the court to determine the response of public policy to the general written lawsuit of the Attorney General.

Kokai said the attorney general’s central role is to defend North Carolina and fight in-state scams and crimes, and there is no “convincing reason” to use taxpayer resources to “comfortably” to other AGSs.
“He can build resumes for the next stop in his political career,” he said, Stein, a former Democratic former Roy Cooper, and former Republican Governor Mike Easley, both served as top lawyers in the state before moving into Governor Manrs.
In many states, the Attorney General’s Office reflects the state legislative majority, but North Carolina is one of the few states, with both the Attorney General and the Governor Democrats, but the legislature is held by the Republican Party.
