Denver Nuggets Star Nikola Jokic beat a career-high 61 points against the Minnesota Timberwolves Tuesday night, but it was all in vain.
Minnesota scored Denver’s best 140-139 in overtime.

Russell Westbrook stole an inbound pass from Minnesota but missed a hasty layup and Denver will score a three-pointer. Minnesota brought the ball to Alexander-Walker in the corner, and Westbrook defeated him.
Anthony Edwards leads the Timberwolves with 34 points.

But Jokic stole the show.
Three MVPs and seven All-Star games added 10 rebounds and 10 assists to his ridiculous statistics series. He scored his third 60-point triple-double in NBA history after Luka Doncic’s footsteps in 2022 and James Harden in 2018.

“That guy’s Superman,” said Nuggets coach Malone. “He’s on another level, man. People say he’s not athletic, but not many people can do his job.”
This is the second time this season Jokic has created a career-best result for points. He scored 56 points against the Washington Wizards on December 7. He said he was just “tired” after the game.
“It’s a tired game.”
It’s exhausting, but the playoffs are getting tighter.

The Timberwolves ranked seventh with a record of 44-32 and tied with the Memphis Grizzlies. They are only half behind the Golden State Warriors’ fifth seed and 2.5 games behind the Los Angeles Lakers’ fourth seed.
The Nuggets currently have a third seed, but won two games in the Houston Rockets’ second game, with the Lakers having only 1.5 games.
The Los Angeles Clippers are 43-32, sitting in the No. 8 seed.
