Albuquerque police said the 13- and 15-year-olds were charged with public murder, conspiracy to murder, leaving behind a scene of an accident involving huge bodily injury or death, and illegally possessing a pistol by a person.

Police said the 15-year-old and an 11-year-old boy were too young to be charged with murder and were considered a passenger in the car.
“The boys recorded the crash from inside the car as the driver turned from the southbound lane of Moon Street to a dedicated bike lane and hit Humbamb,” a police statement said on Monday. The children on the car saw the recorded bikes and flashing lights on the audio indicating that they planned to hit the bikers. ”
Videos of the crash were recorded from inside the car and distributed on social media. Detectives received a prompt about posting the video to social media. A middle school principal also reported to Albuquerque Public School police that a student reported the same crash video.
In the recording, a driver believed to be 13 years old was heard saying that he was about to hit the biker before accelerating the car, Authorities say. Then he heard him say, “Just hit him, Brash,” police said.
