Newly hired Karmelo Anthony’s lawyer is accused of stabbing teen track and field star Austin Metcalf dies in track and field competition Frisco, TexasLast week, the public was asked to wait patiently and not rush to make a judgment on the case.
According to a statement from Bill Clark of Clark, an Anthony family said: “Karmelo and the entire Anthony family expressed condolences to the family of Austin Metcalf and to the family of Austin Metcalf.”
The family also asked the public not to draw conclusions.

“In this difficult time, we urge the public to avoid hasty trials before presenting all facts and evidence. Like all citizens of the United States, Karmelo has the right to fair, impartial legal proceedings; we are committed to ensuring that they are protected at every stage of the entire criminal justice system, and we are committed to ensuring that Karmelo’s rights are indeed protected.”
Clark and Cole confirmed in a press release that they are seeking to reduce Anthony’s bonds from the current $1 million, which they call “excessive.”
Anthony faces First Degree Murder and was held in the Collin County Jail.
“It’s certainly a long road, and during this challenging time we ask for prayers for both families, and we ask you to be patient and respectful of the legal process in search of the truth,” the attorney said in a statement.

Metcalf, 17, a junior at Frisco Memorial High School, was stabbed to death after a dispute last Wednesday at the championship track race in Frisco. Disputes arise in the seating arrangements within the tent.
according to Arrest Report Metcalf got the Fox News, telling Anthony that he needed to leave the memorial high school tent, and then Anthony “grabs his bag, unpack and reach inside” and then says, “Touch me and see what happens.”
“Austin stood up and pushed the man to take him out of the tent,” the arrest report said.
The first person to fight Anthony was a school resource officer, the report said.
“I’m protecting myself,” Anthony said. “He put his hands on me.”
Police said Anthony was handcuffed at the scene. An officer stated in the arrest report, [Anthony’s] Left middle finger. ”

During the arrest, Anthony issued a “spontaneous statement” saying, “I have no charges, I did it.”
He also asked if Metcalf could be, and if his actions could be considered self-defense.
Meanwhile, donations and comments to Anthony’s support continue to be poured into Give Endgo Online Fundraising Founded by Anthony’s family.

As of Tuesday morning, the help of Karmelo’s official fund has received more than $218,000 in donations. Nearly 6,500 people contributed to the fund.
A donor on Tuesday morning said: “It’s not much, but I hope it helps.
Another said, “Pray for your healing. My support is my support.”
