Officers Rasheed Siyam, Christopher Bowen and Michael F. Derin; Derin’s son, Detective Michael A. Derin; and Lieutenant Alex Guzman all plan to sue Farley.
In addition to claims of general misconduct and indecent behavior, these individuals made other personal claims against the Chief.
Guzman said he was willing to be promoted to captain, but Farley illegally refused to promote him despite the immediate need for a new captain. It allegedly stems from Farley’s allegations, and Guzman made a request for public records against Farley, which Guzman denied.
Bowen also claimed that he was refused promotion by the chief.

The North Bergen Police Department referred Fox News Digital to the Hudson County Attorney’s Office when it tried to contact Farley. The office did not immediately return a request for comment.
