Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu A tribute to Charlie Kirk, calling the political activist assassinated Wednesday as a “one generational” figure.
“He is a defender of our shared Jewish Christian civilization. He is delighted to be here to step into Jesus’ footsteps. He values our bond, the bond between the United States and Israel,” Netanyahu said Thursday.Faulkner’s focus. ”

Kirk was shot dead at Utah Valley University on Wednesday. His wife and two children survived.

Netanyahu recalled his personal moments with Kirk and noted that his son met him during his visit to Israel in 2019.
“We were broken first because a great man was taken from us. He was an extraordinary friend,” he said.
The Prime Minister also stressed Kirk’s firm support for Israel.

Netanyahu said: “He wrote me a letter on May 2 this year. He said, ‘One of my greatest joys as a Christian is to advocate Israel and form alliances to defend the Jewish Christian civilization.’
He added that he spoke with Kirk this week and invited him back to Israel.
“Sadly, this visit will not be conducted.”

Kirk is known as a devout Christian. He often talks about his beliefs at campus events across the United States. The organization he founded Turning Point USA has the entire A branch based on faith It aims to encourage Christians to transform faith into action.
