White House trade adviser Peter Navarro raises concerns about his dispute with billionaire Elon Musk, It is believed that there is a “good” relationship between the two government advisers.
“First of all, Elon and I are great. That’s not a problem,” Navarro said in the NBC News “Meeting Media” on Sunday.
Navarro and Musk said in an interview last week in Navarro Musk’s Tesla More like a “car assembler” than a “car manufacturer” that relies on other countries.

“We’re all in the White House (and the American people understand) Elon is an automaker. But he’s not an automaker — he’s an auto assembly,” Navarro said on CNBC. “In many cases, if you go to his Texas factory, the engine (in the electric car case is a battery) he gets from Japan, from China. Electronics are from Taiwan.”
This seems to be a bad seat with Musk, who got on X to defend his car company.
“Navarro is indeed an idiot. What he said here is obviously wrong.”
Musk added in a subsequent post: “Tesla has the most cars. Navarro is a fool than a bag of bricks.”

But Navarro downplayed Sunday’s open-language war, praising Musk’s contribution to the Trump administration.
“Everything is good,” Navarro said. “Look, Elon did a great job in his team, wasting, fraud and abuse. This has made a huge contribution to the United States. No one should suffer from a fanatical bomb bomb when doing such a thing.”

The White House also downplayed their concerns, with press secretary Karoline Leavitt arguing that the dispute suggests President Donald Trump Willing to hear completely different views from the highest level.

“Obviously, it’s two people who have a very different perspective on trade and tariffs. Boys will be boys and we will keep their public quarrels going on,” she said in a press conference last week. “You should be very grateful for the most transparent management in history.”
