MSNBC host Chris Hayes President Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans.
Schumer Vote with Republicans The ongoing resolution (CR) kept the federal government open on Friday and defended the decision of the MSNBC host on Tuesday night’s “With Chris Hayes”.
The minority leader claims Trump’s popularity is still too high, Democrats can’t have any effective leverage on their agenda, and Democrats must “hold on” to promote his popularity.
“We fight relentlessly every day, every day. His number has begun to drop from 51 to 47. If we stick with it, and stick with it, his number will be much lower. Not only will he be more popular, but he is less efficient.”

Schumer also noted that Democrats will “find a moment we shouldn’t give them votes” and that while that will likely end up causing a government shutdown, Democrats “will have a higher position and we will do that,” he said, “look at us.”
The MSNBC host responded, claiming that it would be a good political move “if Mitt Romney is president” but not “ambitiously trying to seize all power and establish a presidential dictatorship in the United States” during Trump’s presidency.
Schumer said that if Democrats can’t lower Trump’s interests a little bit, it’s Schumer’s plan, which is key to gaining Republican leverage.
“What would happen?” Hayes asked.
“What happened is, first of all, we’re going to fall down, he’s going to be much less. We’re working in 2017. You said ‘It’s another government now’.”
“Although it’s different,” Hayes interrupted, adding, “my God.”

Later in the interview, Hayes placed Schumer in a popular seat, allowing him to sit down and announce the famous Democrats denounced his decision to support Trump-backed CR Bill.
“I’m just at the level of how strategy brings us to this point, and I want to play some criticism again, not from my backseat driver or not from my cable news, but people like Hakeem Jeffries or Nancy Pelosi. Listen to it.”
The last clip of the assembly featured Rep. Nancy Pelosid-calif. Say, “I, myself, don’t have nothing. I think that’s what happened the other day.”
Pelosi’s comments sparked a reaction from Schumer, who opposed the criticism of the former House Speaker.
“They won’t negotiate with us, so there are only two options. If we have a third option, that would be great.”
