After Kirk was shot dead Wednesday afternoon, Moral Dowd suggested that this was due to his chain reaction to the “abnormal words” of various groups. Kirk, the main conservative activist and the president’s top ally Donald Trumplater died at the age of 31.
Before news about Kirk’s death, Moral told MSNBC host Katy Tur: “We don’t know the full details of anything yet. We don’t know if this is a supporter to celebrate their guns.”
Moral says Kirk has been “one of the most divided, especially divisive young people who have been pushing for this hate speech or this hate speech targeting certain groups. I always go back to the idea of hatred, and the words that lead to hatred, which lead to hatred action.”
He added: “I think this is the environment we are in – you can’t stop with these terrible thoughts and say these terrible words instead of expecting to take terrible actions. This is the unfortunate environment we are in.”

“I was asked a question about the environment we were in during an early appearance on MSNBC. I apologize for my tone and words. I am very clear that I will never intend for my comment to blame Kirk for this horrible attack. Let us all work together to condemn violence of any kind,” Moral wrote.
