On his seventh field alone, Chicago pitcher Cody Poteet threw a 95 mph fastball to Max Munchy, originally known as the ball.
The right-handed disagreed with the call and immediately lashed the hat twice, which was considered the red challenger for the pitcher and batsman when they wanted to give the call a call.

The entire ordeal lasted for 25 seconds, and the competition was played shortly after. The average ABS challenge for minors has taken 17 seconds, so this should not affect the pace of the game, which has been greatly increased in the rules change of Commissioner Rob Manfred.
Manfred said last year that the 2026 season was a “viable option” to implement a full-time system.
This spring, the team will have two challenges per game, but will be able to retain each challenge. Only the batsman, pitcher or receiver can challenge the call and must be immediately followed by the call with the help of the bench or other players.
