Shapen had 19 points in 33, with 279 yards and three touchdown passes. Thompson had 6 catches, totaling 133 yards and 2 scores. Anthony Evans III had nine catches for 108 yards and touchdowns.

Arizona head coach Kenny Dillingham lamented the team’s failure to stop the Bulldogs’ explosiveness.

“The big show is the story of the game,” Dillingham said. “It was a good football team, they exploded. They made explosive games. We had to take their explosives away in the second half and not do it until the end.”

Arizona State guards Raleek Brown and Kanye Udoh had great games on the ground. Brown rushed for 110 yards in 18 carrys. UDOH scored 23 yards and 105 yards.
