Sisters’ sisters Northern California Mother Four are seeking answers after she disappeared, and have recently been ruled as a homicide.
Nikki Cheng Saelee-McCain, a 39-year-old mother from Shasta County, disappeared on May 17, 2024. After that, Shasta County Sheriff’s office reclassified its disappearance as a homicide.
In an emotional interview, Kaye Ford and Chloe Saelee opened up about their sister’s heartbreaking disappearance to Fox News Digital.
“When we first felt her missing, I immediately knew I wasn’t right inside and I knew something bad happened to her,” Seley said.

Northern California families are calling and texting each other almost every day, Ford said. After their sister failed to attend the family’s active group chat, they knew there were some problems.
“As a family, we know it’s not her running away, nor is she just not communicating with her family,” Ford said. “We definitely know that something bad happened to her might have happened to her. And, we definitely know that time is essentially essential in terms of what could have happened to her.”
Saelee-McCain’s last contact Her family was on May 18, 2024, when she sent a text message to her family around 12:35 am after the message, and she did not hear her again. Her vehicle was a Chevrolet Avalanche in 2002 and was abandoned in western Tehama County on May 25, 2024.
