Michael Vick swept the world of college football in outstanding game Virginia Tech. He continued to play in the NFL for 13 seasons and after his career in broadcasting, the great coaching of the Hokies is important.
Vick enters his three games in his inaugural season Norfolkbut speculation has begun to rotate, and he can look at his alma mater.
Last week, Virginia Tech split the way with head coach Brent Pry after the season started 0-3.

But Vick made it clear that he focused on the task at hand, not the potential coaching opportunities in the future.

“This team has to follow my leadership.” Vick tells HBCU GAMEDAY. “My main focus now is Norfolk. That’s everything we can focus on. I hope they won’t read newspaper clippings or study what’s going on on social pages because I don’t. We have a divine heart this week. This is the most important thing in our lives right now.”

Vick’s interest in coaching goes back several years.
Before working as a home country coach in Virginia, Vick was Chief of Kansas City Coach Andy Reid. In 2019, he served as the Atlanta Legend Offensive Coordinator in the now-stricken American Football League league.

In 2017, Vick expressed hope to learn from Reid one day. “But if I could coach anyone with anyone, I would love to start with Andy, if there is a chance. Obviously, I also like the (Atlanta) Falcon. So we’re going to see it grow.”
Vick ended his college career with 3,074 pass yards and 20 touchdowns. Vick is known for his ability to run, and he also recorded 16 sprint touchdowns while wearing the Hokies uniform.

Norfolk State will enter the game against Sacred Heart with a record of 1-2 on September 20.
