Ukraine 4A game will put Ukraine and Metro series on the game development map. Now it is renamed to roburn And is revealing a new intellectual property called La Quimera.
In an interview with GamesBeat, Dmytro Lymar, founder and CEO of Reburn, said that the local railway took place in a post-apocalyptic world where humans moved into the underground underground of Moscow, and La Quimera was a brighter competition in Latin America.
The sci-fi shooter La Quimera is now available for use with the Wish List, which will debut on PC via Steam. This is an exciting game with a very intense trailer from the famous manufacturers of Metro 2033 (2010), Metro: Last Light (2013) and Metro Exodus (2019). ((Subway Awakening (2024 VR title) produced separately through Embracer through Vertigo Games).

While moving forward from its established IP, Ukraine’s Kiev row did something rare again. Most gaming companies are addicted to sequels. But Reburn is taking a new IP.
La Quimera takes place in a breathtaking Latin American metropolis and lush jungle environment, and players embark on a customizable coat of a level PMC soldier fighting rival factions.
The world and narrative of La Quimera was written and created by Nicolas Winding Refn (Drive, Neon Demon) and Eja Warren. La Quimera combines Latin American folklore with advanced weapons and technology to play with up to two friends in a single player game or at most in a co-op – with three players in total.
Fans of the team’s past work will enjoy familiar time guns and private storytelling and combine new gaming experiences with unique and highly detailed environments, characters and weapons. (No multiplayer version).

“After working at Metro we decided to get into a brighter environment, but we still focused the game on the story. That’s what we’re good at in all our experiences at Metro Games,” Lymar said. “The game is set in Latin America in the future and adopts more modern technology. It provides us with some experimentation, and monsters are replaced by robots, which is also an interesting twist.”
In the game, the player plays the role of an agent of a private military company, whose time has been better. This is where the story begins. You are one of the main agents in the story.
La Quimera reveals trailer

“Reburn is proud to launch La Quimera, which draws on our success in making narrative drive games for the Metro series,” Lymar said. “We look forward to sharing this mysterious new world with the players and hope they revel in the fit to fight.”

Reburn’s lineup includes over 110 developers’ past works, including game design, art, sound engineering, programming, and more throughout the subway series, as well as original stalker Oleksandr Kostiuk as project leader on La Quimera. Lymar has been working in the game since 2006, and has previously served as director and CEO of Ukrainian 4A games.
In the coming months, more LA Quimera game information and support visual effects will be shared. Check out the official Reburn website on your wishlist on Steam and follow Reburn on Facebook, Discord, YouTube, Bluesky and LinkedIn for regular updates about development and gaming.
The game doesn’t really have magical realism, but there’s some mysticism in it. It cites ancient Latin American cultures such as Mayan culture and some death cults.
“We also have serious themes related to the modern world, such as trying to differentiate between truth and fake news, and the political changes that have taken place in the world,” he said. “We don’t cover much of war in the game itself, but it has some related topics.”
Divide into one part

4A Game was founded in Kiev, Ukraine in 2006, and the development of Metro 2033 has begun. The company has built its own 4A game engine.
In 2007, 4A Ukraine worked in the Cyprus office and signed an agreement with THQ to fund the development and publication of Metro 2033. IP rights are served on THQ as part of the transaction, but the IP rights of the game engine remain with 4A Ukraine.
The championship was released in 2010, and it was three games. Then, THQ signed up for the development of Metro Last Light.
But in 2012, THQ went bankrupt and Metro Last Light’s rights were acquired by Koch Media in an auction under the Deep Silver trademark.
In 2014, Russia attacked Ukraine for the first time. Part of the team left and built its own studio in Malta.
“The situation is not great, some people want to leave the country. We arrange and help them a few, and they set up a studio in Malta,” Lemar said.
That studio became 4A Malta and they agreed to jointly develop the third game Metro Exodus. Both studios are working closely with it. Metro Exodus’ title was released in 2019, and both studios have grown enough to engage in their own games independently.

In 2020, Malta was acquired by Embracer Group, which also owns Metro IP. But 4A Ukraine received additional funding to independently fund the development of new projects based on its IP La Quimera. Now, it has been renamed Reburn. The 4A trademark remains on 4A Malta, but both companies can use 4A engines. Reburn has been working, but it also has to deal with the Russian invasion and Covid-19 in 2022.
“It’s destructive, but it brings people together more. At this point in time, we feel that each other’s support is much greater. We face a lot of challenges. Lyman shared a builder with investors when the war began in February 2022. But the team managed to keep going.
Lymar said the name erupted with the word “Reborn”, similar to the reincarnation of something. As for surviving the destruction of the war, Lemar said: “I would say we have no choice, which makes it easier. The support of each other is excellent and we support the military. We have also received a lot of support from us and we are grateful. We really hope it will be solved.”
