A woman accused of shooting and killing US Border Patrol Agent She was not guilty of murder and other charges Friday, her first appearance in court since prosecutors said they would seek death penalty for suspects linked to trans vegans, linked to multiple killings across the country.

Teresa Youngblut, 21, pleaded not guilty in federal court Burlington, Vermontthe shooting happened during a traffic stop in January. Investigators linked Youngblut to “Zizian,” a self-proclaimed vegan, anti-government, transgender collective that authorities say has been linked to six killings, according to the Associated Press.

During a traffic stop along Interstate 91, Coventry, Vermont on January 20, prosecutors claimed Youngblut left the Toyota Prius she attended with her companion Felix Bauckholt and then fired at law enforcement without warning – Kill Malan and endanger two other border patrols. A broker returns to the fire, Bowkholt is killed and Youngblut is injured.

Youngblut’s hair was styling in braided braids during Friday’s appearance, and she wore an oversized sweatshirt, mask and loose trousers, according to the Associated Press. The Associated Press reported that her parents watched her enter the courtroom, where her mother waved at her as she was later handcuffed and escorted.

After Youngblut did not plead guilty, Judge Christina Reiss turned to the problems found before trial. The defense wants to ensure that the medical records of the defendant’s killers remain confidential and noted that they are broad. Reiss confirmed that medical and mental health records were considered privileged materials, the Associated Press reported.
