New York City Police Department (NYPD) says officials responded to “heartbreaking” 911 calls in a home in Benson Hutt Community in South Brooklyn Around 10:30 a.m., involved an ongoing attack.

Police said one of the 11-year-old children was named 911 and said she and her siblings were stabbed by uncle, New York Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch, who shared in a press conference.

“The 11-year-old 911 caller, himself a victim, hid in a room and called the police, and a young, uninjured boy ran in to warn the neighbors,” Tidge said.

According to police, an 11-year-old victim managed to call 911, while another uninjured child ran to the neighbor’s home for help after a clever man striking them. (FOX 5 NYC)

When officers arrived at the scene, they heard the children screaming inside. Tish said officers “started immediately to force them” into the home.

“Once they enter, they meet a man standing near the entrance with a large blood-covered meat-clip knife inside, and they can see blood on the floor and on the walls of the house,” Tisch said.

The officer then ordered the man to put down his weapon several times, but Tisch said he refused and shouted to the officer. The officer opened fire at the man, attacked him and ended the threat.

Two knives were found from the scene. One person is described as a “big” meat-cutter held by the man. Another knife was covered in blood and found in a separate room, officials said.

Tisch said officials found four young girls, aged 16, 13, 11 and 8, were severely cut down and stabbed in the apartment at the time of the attack.

“At present, all four children, thank God, should survive,” Tisch said. “But that could be very different. Officials and EMS arrived at the door within minutes of receiving the 911 call. Their quick, decisive action pointed out the location and removed the door, absolutely saving the lives of these young girls.”

The suspect was identified as 49-year-old Long Chen, and officials said he was considered a relative despite his exact relationship with the victim being investigated. Police say he is in critical condition.

Investigators believe the child’s mother was not at home when the attack occurred.

Family members tell authorities Chen History of mental illness, But it seems that there has been no domestic violence at home.

“Obviously, the motivation for this terrorist attack is still under investigation and we will provide more information when we get more information,” said New York Police Secretary John Chell.

“We know there are five children, four injured and a young man who are so brave to remind the neighbors that the neighbors call us, and that 11-year-old went to that room and gave this call, which means they are very brave.”
