Dallas Mavericks Defender Kyrie Irving reportedly will miss the rest of the NBA season after suffering a knee injury against the Sacramento Kings on Monday night.
Irving was diagnosed with a torn ACL, ESPN Report.
Irving, nine times in the NBA All-Star game, fell and landed awkwardly on his knees in the first half of Monday’s game. The Mavericks star was in obvious pain as tears flowed down his face. He was able to keep it long enough in the game to make two free throw attempts before he was helped.

He was then excluded from the rest of the game.
“I mean, that’s who,” said Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd. “I asked him because they brought him out, ‘If you don’t shoot, how are you? You’re out of it.” So they took him to the free throw line, he kicked the free throw and we drove him out. ”

The Mavericks ended up losing 122-98.
Irving seemed to suffer serious injuries when he fouled. The 2016 NBA champion’s right foot fell at the Kings’ feet during the game, causing him to lose balance.

The Mavericks did not provide the latest news about Irving’s identity after Monday’s game, but Kidd described it as an unfortunate moment.
“Unfortunately,” Kidd said. “I wish he was healthy, it wasn’t serious.”
Irving grabbed his knee and stayed for a few minutes after he hit the floor.

After Monday’s showdown with the Kings, Irving averaged 24.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.6 assists this season. He has been the focus of Dallas offense since the superstar defender Luka Doncic He was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers earlier last month.

Irving’s injury marks the latest setback for the Mavericks, who have played with Anthony Davis in the past few weeks. Dallas acquires Davis’s blockbuster Tonks Trade.
The center suffered Mavericks’ first injury On February 8, the Mavericks returned to action on Wednesday with the Milwaukee Bucks.
