Massive WWII bomb forces overnight evacuation of 6,000 residents from homes

Thousands of people are forced to evacuate a prosperous community Hongkong Overnight, experts sweated at a delicate work rate, cutting the remaining nearly five feet of World War II, 1,000-pound bombs.

A U.S.-made bomb was found on a construction site in Quarry Bay on the west side of Hong Kong on Friday, not from The The Bomk war Discovered on the island.

The 1,000-pound bomb has 500-pound TNT, which is likely to be abandoned by U.S. service personnel during the war, and bomb experts must go from about 2 a.m. Saturday to almost noon, Hong Kong police said in a statement.

In 2018experts found another World War II bomb on a construction site in the Hong Kong business district. It also weighs 1,000 pounds, the third bomb to be dug since January of that year.
