Large-scale immigration law enforcement action Southeast Texas More than 800 illegal immigrants have been included in the United States, including gang members, convicted murderers, child predators and foreign fugitives.
The agency said the arrest was due to a week-long action taken from August 17 to August 23, the agency said Joe Bidenopen policy.
According to the ICE statement, a total of 822 illegal foreigners were arrested, including five transnational gang members, seven child predators and three criminal foreigners who committed crimes related to homicide. “In the past four years, transnational gang members, foreign fugitives and other violent crimes have taken advantage of the crisis on our southern border to enter the country illegally,” Gabriel Martinez, director of the acting field office for ICE Law Enforcement and Evacuation Operations.

A 54-year-old Mexican country, Alejandro Perez Miramontes, was illegally arrested in the operation and has been deported 12 times before. According to the ICE, Perez Miramontes was convicted of eight times for illegal reentry, four illegal entry and two robbery, theft and burglary, once, once for trespassing and evading arrest.
The agency said the arrested were also 35-year-old foreigner and a habitual child predator, William Alexander Telles Amaya, the country of El Salvador. Ice said Telles Amaya was convicted three times for child sex offenses, including aggravated sexual assault on a child, failed to register as a sex offender in 2015 and had sexual indecent acts with a minor in July.
Others have recently committed child sex crimes, including the 37-year-old Salvadoran National, including a minor in Harris County, Texas in February.
In another immigration enforcement operation in Houston, Texas, ICE, along with several other federal, state and local agencies, led to the arrest of 646 illegal immigrants in another week of immigration enforcement operations. (U.S. immigration and customs enforcement)
The 30-year-old Guatemalan country, Jorge Eliseo Torres-Soto, was also arrested in the operation after being founded in October 2024 on sexual assault against a child.
Manuel Ivan Castillo Estrada, a 36-year-old Mexican national, was arrested after being deported three times in February 2024 and sentenced to alien smuggling and sexually assaulting minors.
Another Zimbabwean country, Lloyd Tinashe Hwehwe, 36, is a habitual DWI charge, including a conviction in 2015 when he was intoxicated and poisoned manslaughter. He was removed from office, he illegally re-entered the country and was convicted of a second DWI in 2024.
Another child sex offender, Carlos Vega-Ramirez, 38, was deported and convicted of indecent as a minor, tempted minors to lure DWI, DWI, flee police, forged and illegal reentered.

The 53-year-old El Salvador country Herlindo Antonio Astio Merino was also arrested. According to the agency, he was wanted in El Salvador for murder and entered the United States illegally in 2022 to evade prosecution.

The ICE also arrested Cruz Leandro Martinez Leiva, a 25-year-old MS-13 gang member from El Salvador, who was found guilty of robbery and armed hijacking in October 2018.
The agency said the action was Trump administrationRestore public safety through efforts to target “worst” criminal aliens and immigration laws violations. Several other federal agencies also participated in the operation and the Texas Department of Public Safety.
