Some House Republicans A measure is being taken to require federal government candidates to disclose their citizenship in foreign countries when appointing their primary campaign committees.
R-Ky. Rep. Thomas Massie told Fox News Digital in a statement Monday that he did not believe that individuals with foreign nationality should not serve in the national legislature.
“Personally, I think dual citizens should serve in Congress, but I finally decided to propose a transparency bill that requires full disclosure of citizenship. Then, voters can make a decision.”

He added: “At the very least, they should disclose their citizenship in other countries and avoid voting specifically benefiting from those countries.”
