A 22-year-old child New Hampshire Men Court records show that police said he threatened to use “weapons of mass destruction” to kill Governor Kelly Ayotte and cited anti-Semitic and anti-government rhetoric in a series of disturbing online messages.

Tristan Alexander Anderson of Merrimack County was arrested on August 28 after Pembroke police received reports that Anderson posed a threat to Republican Ayotte through Snapchat. Anderson’s roommate shared the news with her ex-boyfriend, who contacted police, based on a possible cause statement.

In one of the messages, Anderson wrote: “I will target NH Mayor Kelly Ayott. Use my weapons of mass destruction,” the document said.

Prosecutors say Anderson intends to threaten to hurt or kill Ayotte in revenge on his role in public office. He was charged with criminal threats and endangerment or threats to certain government officials.
