The two fight for the state’s decision not to change their gender engagement policies to comply with the president’s executive orders to separate biological men from girls and women’s movements. Trump threatened to collect federal funds for schools in Maine if the state does not comply with the state.

Libby wrote on X that Mills must be “absolutely panicked.”
“Her failure has zeroed in Maine’s competition to protect the women’s movement. President Trump is sending a clear message to her and other leaders across the country: Our girls’ voices will be heard and their rights will be respected.”
Trump’s remarks come the day after Senate Democrats blocked protections for women and girls in sports. Republicans needed 60 votes to overcome the fiterib vote, but only received 51 votes.
