After last week’s meeting with Presidents Trump and Presidents Zelensky and Vice President Vance, the real tragedy was not only the Oval Office quarrel that derailed the peace efforts, which may have prevented the killings in the Ukrainian-Russian war, but many are still working to stop the war from ending.
Why? Because they hate it President Trump They don’t love peace.
The good news is that the quarrel between Trump and Ukrainian President Zelensky brought European leaders to the table. Their increasing commitment to defense could make the proposed peace agreement even closer.
That’s not what Trump’s critics think. Of course, they blame the president for breaking up.
Will Ukrainian minerals trade after Zelenskyy’s crushing defeat? Trump reveals in his speech
The holdings of Obama and Biden by the White House, including former deputy national security adviser Ben Rhodes, former UN ambassador Susan Rice and former secretary of state (former national security adviser) Hillary Clintonall criticized Trump’s peace proposal and did not want the president to succeed, because the ceasefire would highlight their failures. The Obama team allowed Russia to cut Crimea and invade other parts of Ukraine with zero free throws, and the picky Putin strikes again.
Biden’s team failed to prevent Russian invasion in 2022 and then never made plans Ending War; they never said Win. Even that unfortunate crew knew that Ukraine would never outperform Russia. They hope to become rigid at best. However, this humble goal proves elusive, as Ukraine gradually loses territory while the president loses territory Joe Biden Secretary of State Antony Blinken congratulated each other and united Europe…failed.
Democrats don’t want Trump to end the war because they know that the loss of our money will be very popular among voters when the Holocaust is shut down. It is almost certain that the peace deal will help Republicans control over Congress next year.
Never-Trumpers also hate the idea of success because they bet on someone who violates odds and wins a popular vote. Liz Cheney posted on X that Trump was “busy to succumb to the butcher of the KGB” and he didn’t want to win for Trump. Oppose the political career of the 45th President. Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski – a state Trump won 10 points – claimed that the Oval Office brawl made her “sick her belly.” The president-bound will almost certainly end her career, too.
Sen. Chris Murphy, a Democratic Connecticut, claims the White House is the “arm” of the Kremlin and he doesn’t want to see Trump succeed. He desperately hopes to be the next big thing Leaderless Democratic PartyDespite the good approval of the president’s hierarchy, it’s strange to position itself as an extreme antitrumter.
Murphy and others Democrats meet with Zelenskyy He reportedly directed him against the proposed deal before the Oval Office gathered. They had blood on their hands.
Some blame President Trump and Vice President JD Vance Used to cause cracks. But it is undeniable that the White House team gathered in the Oval Office does hope that Zelenskyy is ready to sign a deal that will lead to a ceasefire with Russia and ultimately peace. He had agreed earlier in Europe but insisted on going to the White House to sign the deal.
But… Zelenskyy hopes to re-conclude the deal in front of the media. This is not smart.
Ironically, the Oval Office explosion could achieve President Trump’s main ambition: to give Europe a larger share of Western defense. Progress has been made. “In the past decade, European allies and Canada’s collective investment in defense has increased from 1.43% of total GDP in 2014 to 2.02% in 2024…” The latest statement from EU Governor and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer suggests that more spending may be.

Starmer, who recently met with President Trump, said he believes the U.S. president’s commitment to peace is “completely sincere”, but the minerals themselves do not guarantee Ukraine’s security. He offers more support and floor boots. If France and Germany also step up their reinforcement, a comprehensive, strong agreement may be reached.
President Trump’s proposal, which calls on the United States to work with Ukraine to use the country’s minerals and rare earths, has been described by Treasury Secretary Bessent as a “elegant” solution. It will achieve these goals:
- The partnership will allow Ukraine’s valuable resources to develop. Ukraine cannot manage such a cause on its own because it lacks money and expertise. The United States can offer both.
- The funds in mining and production of these resources can be used not only to repay American taxpayers, but also to repair Ukraine, which has been destroyed by the three years of war.
- If U.S. voters see some dividends, U.S. voters will continue to participate in Ukraine. Congress will follow their leadership.
- Large-scale U.S. investment in Ukraine will prevent Vladimir Putin from invading the country, knowing that Americans are willing and eager to defend their property. That was the backend criticizing the deal that refused to admit it. However, European peacekeeping forces have added more protection.
- This arrangement provides us with safety without having to put our boots on the ground.
The proposed plan has Reduce the US’s dependence on China. While Democrats quickly accuse Trump of policies in favor of Putin, few explain Joe Biden’s insistence on energy Diktats, which clearly deepens our reliance on China. Pushing the United States toward electric cars or solar panels means importing key materials from our first enemy. Being able to get some of these ingredients from a friendly country would be a win.

Trump’s proposal makes sense, but becomes more credible and immediate as Europe participates. The Oval Office brawl could eventually lead to peace.
Everyone should join.
