The United States and Ukraine announced in a joint statement on Tuesday Ukraine is willing Agree to a 30-day ceasefire.
“Ukraine expressed willingness to accept the U.S. proposal for an immediate 30-day ceasefire, which could be extended by mutual agreements between the parties, which could be subject to acceptance and simultaneous implementation of the Russian Federation,” the statement said.

But Graham noted in his article on X on Wednesday that he “suspects Russia will accept the ceasefire” and “very doubts they want to end the war.”
Graham warned: “In order to move towards peace, I will impose sanctions and tariffs on Russia before the end of this week. If they do not pursue a ceasefire with the same vitality as Ukraine, it will be hell.”
“I hope both parties support my proposal,” he noted.
The Ukraine statement pointed out that the United States “will communicate to Russia that Russia’s reciprocity is the key to achieving peace” and “immediately cancel intelligence sharing and restore pauses to security aid to Ukraine.”
