Liberal wins first major 2025 statewide battleground election in race turned into Trump-Musk referendum

Walkersha, Wisconsin. – The tendency candidate is expected to win high-profile and historically expensive elections In Wisconsin On Tuesday, protecting progressive majority control over the Battlefield State Supreme Court, which will likely dominate key issues such as Congress re-division, voting and labor rights, and abortion.

The Associated Press predicts that Dane County Circuit Judge Susan Crawford will defeat former state Attorney General Brad Schimel, who currently serves as a state circuit judge in Walkersha County. Schimel is a conservative unanimous candidate in the game, recognized by the president Donald Trump.

A large amount of money was invested from a united group of Democrats and Republicans outside Wisconsin, which turned the game into the most expensive judicial election in national history, which in the months of his second tour at the White House turned partly into a referendum on Trump’s sweeping and controversial move.

Front and center in the election showdown are also one who votes with Trump: billionaire Elon Musk, the president’s top donor and White House adviser.

Other major elections today – in this red state – are also referendums against Trump

Musk, the richest man in the world The CEO of Tesla and SpaceX appreciated a buzz to the federal government’s workforce as he guided Trump’s recently created Department of Administration Efficiency, where he made about $20 million in games in Wisconsin through a unified group to support Schimel.

Musk, in a controversial move, sent a $1 million check at a rally in Green Bay on Sunday night to sign a petition to stop “activist judges.”

The Democratic state attorney general of Wisconsin filed a lawsuit to block payments, but the state Supreme Court refused to weigh the trade-offs.

Musk said this is crucial to the Trump agenda.

“I think this will be important for the future of civilization,” he said. “It’s important.”

Musk isn’t the only giant playing on the right in the Wisconsin showdown.

Giants Richard and Elizabeth Uihlein, one of the largest conservative contributors in the United States, also provided millions of dollars in support for Schimel and Wisconsin GOP.

“If you told me six months ago, that’s what will happen,” Schimel said during a bus tour outside Green Bay on Monday.

Schimel, who launched his bid 16 months ago, added: “Others can treat their needs. If they think they want to hold a referendum as president or Elon Musk, then that’s it.”

“This is a referendum in Wisconsin,” he said. “Can we restore objectivity to the Wisconsin Supreme Court?”

Schimel also leans towards Trump’s approval. At the end of the game, the TV commercial focus showed that voting for Schimel would protect Trump’s agenda. The candidate also wore the hat of “making America great again” during a campaign on the last weekend before the election.

Schimel focused on his final blitz to reach out to voters.

“We have six to eight gatherings a day in cities across the state,” he said. “There are a lot of people and we don’t have other surrogate statewide, doing the exact same thing. It’s definitely about getting these voters out.”

Schimel also gained prosperity from the conservative powerhouse Americans. The group said its grassroots military has established connections with nearly 600,000 voters in Wisconsin since the election last November.

Trump, who narrowly carried Wisconsin in two White House victories, said the state is important because its Supreme Court can resolve disputes over the election results.

“Wisconsin is a politically big country and the Supreme Court has a lot to do with the election in Wisconsin,” the president said at the White House on Monday. “Win a big event in Wisconsin, so the Supreme Court’s choice…it’s a huge game.”

Schimel’s camp and other conservatives repeatedly argue that the ongoing continued Wisconsin Superior Court liberals could lead to adverse congressional re-divisions in the state, which could leave two Republican members: Derrick Van Orden and Bryan Steil, chairman of the House Management Committee.

Asked about the concerns of conservatives on potential congressional re-divisions, Crawford told reporters Monday: “As a judge, I’m not appropriate to comment on this, especially about the issue that could one day come back in the Wisconsin Supreme Court. That’s why I don’t talk about it.”

Tuesday’s election was the first statewide game since Trump returned to the White House, an opportunity for many voters to oppose the president and his policies.

Crawford has surged in fundraising efforts, partly due to a desire to resist Trump and Republicans’ ability.

“People are really motivated and want to make sure we protect the Wisconsin Supreme Court,” Crawford said in a Fox News digital interview after a rally in Madison on the eve of the election.

Crawford argued that voters “don’t want to see some outsiders, some billionaires, come in and try to buy a seat in the Wisconsin Supreme Court, which Elon Musk is trying to do.”

“This election will determine all our fundamental rights and freedoms,” Crawford said at the rally.

But Crawford also benefits from external currencies, with left-leaning financier George Soros having a box office of about $2 million, and George Soros is Boogeyman on the right. Billionaire Progressive Governor JB Pritzker, a neighboring country in Illinois, also spent a lot of money on supporting Crawford.

“I’ve got some generous contributions and we’ve raised a lot of money in this game,” she told Fox News. “But just say that, Elon Musk spent more than we raised in the past two months in the entire campaign, so his spending is small, so any individual in any state Supreme Court, any one in Wisconsin spends short.”

Crawford and Schimel are fighting to replace liberal dumping justice Ann Walsh Bradley, who served on the Wisconsin Supreme Court for nearly three decades. The Liberal Justice headed to Tuesday’s election with a 4-3 majority in the state Supreme Court.

The showdown attracted some of Wisconsin’s top agents, including Vermont’s progressive champion Sen. Bernie Sanders and Margo star Donald Trump Jr., the president’s eldest son, Jr.
